Description:

The Director of Insights is a strategist, trusted advisor, and integral business partner to senior leaders at our client companies and to peers and colleagues within Profitero.  Reporting to the Global Vice President of Insights,  you will act as a critical thought partner and enabler of success for our clients and your team members. You will lead and manage the North America Insights team to drive a richer understanding of our clients’ business performance and enable better decision-making in an increasingly digital world. 

The position requires a sophisticated command of leadership and team building skills, market research, data analysis, and relationship building. The right candidate must possess a high level of organization, professionalism and be prepared to develop a broad familiarity with our product, clients, and partners.


Who you are:

  • Ideally you have 5-10 years of increasing responsibility in a data-intensive consulting, market research, CPG, eCommerce, retail, manufacturing or similar role
  • You have a management experience and/or a demonstrated interest in taking that leadership step in your career
  • Intellectually curious and eager to become an eCommerce expert or build on your eCommerce / brand expertise 
  • High level of EQ; you can put yourself in a client’s shoes and consistently deliver results
  • Technically proficient with a proven ability to simplify complex data/technology concepts and communicate succinctly
  • You want to be part of a growing team with visibility and access to Profitero’s leadership
  • Excel at working across teams and motivating people with different agendas to achieve common goals
  • Extensive experience in syndicated data and vendor tools ie, IRI or Nielsen, NPD, etc. relevant in CPG, Consumer Electronics, and other verticals
  • Thrive in fast paced environments with lots of change and upward mobility 
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit with obsession for collaborating, learning, improving and results
  • Strong consulting, storyboarding and design skills
  • Excellent project management demonstrated by ability to organize work streams, estimate and deliver on timelines
  • A strategic thinker but also a doer (enjoy rolling up your sleeves to execute)
  • You have a high "do to say" ratio 
  • You are incredibly organized, accountable and process-oriented


What you'll do:


  • Lead the North America Insights team and oversee the work of analysts to ensure it meets the overall needs of our clients
  • Guide leading, global brands on their eCommerce strategy through the use of Profitero’s industry-leading digital shelf data
  • Oversee the planning and execution of Insights projects, including building clear and actionable recommendations
  • Work closely with clients, including leading presentations and workshops to train or educate teams
  • Coordinate with internal Marketing, Customer Success, and Consulting teams to ensure best practices are developed and shared
  • Be a critical member of a growing team to help shape our strategic Advisory focus


It would be nice if you: 

  • Previously worked in a start-up type of environment or other fast-paced workplace
  • Have experience in eCommerce, omnichannel, or physical retail experience
  • Possess some level of familiarity with Analytics tools such as – SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python
